The six dyes that are in the Southampton Six are:
E104 Quinoline Yellow
E110 Sunset Yellow
E122 Carmoisine (Azorubine)
E124 Ponceau 4R
E129 Allura Red AC
There are natural dye alternatives that give a similar colour.
Duranat Curcumin (similar to E104 Quinoline Yellow)
Duranat Beta Carotene (similar to E102 Tartrazine)
Duranat Annatto (similar to E110 Sunset Yellow)
Duranat Anthocyanins (similar to E122 Carmoisine, E124 Ponceau 4R and E129 Allura Red AC if mixed together with Duranat Beta Carotene)
Duranat Carmine (similar to E122 Carmoisine, E124 Ponceau 4R and E129 Allura Red AC).
Duranat Carmine is derived from Cochineal and so is not suitable for a vegetarian products.
